What AskSaudi keeps, what it sends to other services, and how long it lasts. There are no user accounts.

Disclosure
AskSaudi is independent and unofficial. It is not operated, endorsed or backed by the Saudi government or any government agency.
What you type
Your question is the main thing AskSaudi handles. Before it searches or writes an answer, AskSaudi removes likely ID numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, passport numbers and account numbers. The removal is automatic and does not catch everything, so leave these details out.
What we keep
- The question text after the removal above, with its detected language, intent and a confidence score.
- Feedback on an answer, if you give it: the thumbs up or down, and any reason or comment you add. It is kept with the question it belongs to.
- Rate-limit counters. Your IP address becomes a keyed hash, and the counter expires after one minute. The IP address itself is not logged.
- Service-wide daily and monthly counters for AI and search requests. They hold no questions, addresses or page text.
How long we keep it
Stored question text is deleted after 30 days. Feedback is deleted together with the question it belongs to. Rate-limit counters expire after one minute, and the service-wide counters reset each day or month.
What stays in your browser
The light or dark theme you choose is saved in your browser's local storage. The language is part of the page address (/en or /ar). AskSaudi does not use analytics or advertising tools, and the app itself sets no cookies.
Who receives your question
Each provider keeps its own policy on the data it receives. AskSaudi cannot control how a provider handles a request after it leaves the service. Check the provider's terms if you need details.
- A search provider receives a search query derived from your question after detected personal details are removed, to find official pages. Depending on availability and server settings, the provider may be Tavily, Exa or Brave.
- An AI provider receives your question after removal, and the official excerpts selected for it, to write the answer. Depending on the server settings, this may be Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter or OpenAI. OpenRouter may forward the request to a model provider. The provider does not receive the source web addresses.
- Vercel hosts the website, the API runs on a Contabo VPS, and Supabase hosts the PostgreSQL database. These services process requests and stored data on AskSaudi's behalf.
Your requests
To ask us to delete a question you asked, write to the contact address below. Include the approximate time you asked and the question text, without personal details. We may not be able to find the question without that information.
